In conjunction with GTD and Météo France, Météorage took part in the creation of the eWas service, an application developed by GTD for the civil aviation industry that enables the provision and distribution of comprehensive weather forecasts in real time.

Available and updated at the flight preparation stage and during every stage of the flight itself, this data is accessible by pilots on the ground and in the cockpit. A comprehensive solution, eWAS presents a clear and reliable overview of current and future meteorological risks for the entire flight plan.

A veritable decision-making support tool, the service contributes to safety and comfort, and saves fuel due to better flight preparation and greater flight control.
Since 19 April 2017, this solution has been rolled out to more than 3,500 Air France pilots. Other airlines have already expressed a desire to use eWAS for their own air fleets in the coming months.

Allianz logo

Since 2014, Météorage and Prédict have worked closely with Allianz France on the prevention of natural risks for professionals and companies.

Aimed at limiting the accident rate caused by bad weather, this service sends an informative message to insured parties potentially affected by the presence of a storm detected in their local area, and provides access to a dedicated Internet page featuring a real-time lightning map, recommendations and documentation.

Golfs Courses

In Great Britain, one fifth of all lightning strikes that hit human beings do so on golf courses; approximately three people per year die from this phenomenon. In the United States, lightning accounts for 51 deaths per year.

Some golf course operators take the subject very seriously and have implemented specific safety procedures: Broadstone Golf Club (Dorset, UK) has, since 2015, used our Flashfoudre Golf service, which enables it to receive alerts in the event of a storm being detected within a 30 km radius.
